Not a new pirate radio station in E16, but a quick round up of all things going on with our Cleaning, Grounds Maintenance and Bulk Waste Teams:
· We donated a Christmas tree to Ruscoe Road sheltered housing. All money raised from the purchase of the trees has been donated to Clockwork, a charity for young people’s mental health. This is done with our service partner Arbortech, who manage tree maintenance for us.
· We’ve been busy jet washing the build-up of moss from communal areas, including at Fox Close where the team took these very satisfying before and after shots:
· Winter works are being completed as we speak, so all shrubs will be pruned, shrub beds edged and hedges will be trimmed back ready for the new growing season.
· In the spring we will be identifying areas that require replanting, feel free to suggest any areas near you using the contact details on the back page
· We will also be running a Christmas tree collection service in the New Year. Residents will be able to drop off their trees to various collection points, where our GM team will collect and dispose of them:
1. The disused drying area at the corner of Plymouth Road
2. The front lawn on the corner of Rogers Road/Thorne Close
3. The front lawn at the corner of Martindale Road/Bridgeland’s Road
4. The lawn at the corner of Wren Close/Vincent Street
Residents of Ozolins way and Ruscoe Road can call the housing office to arrange collections from outside their properties.
